PRINCETON, W.Va. — A devastating three-vehicle crash in Princeton, West Virginia, claimed the lives of two Princeton Senior High School students Thursday morning, leaving the school community and local residents mourning the tragic loss.


According to the West Virginia State Police and Mercer County 911 dispatchers, the deadly collision occurred on Courthouse Road in Princeton. Authorities said the crash involved three vehicles and temporarily shut down the roadway as emergency crews responded and investigators processed the scene.


The victims were later identified as Aden King and Price King, both students at Princeton Senior High School, according to confirmation from Mercer County Public Schools.


In a statement shared on social media, the school district expressed grief over the tragedy.


“It is with profound sadness that Mercer County Public Schools shares the tragic loss of two Princeton Senior High School students,” the district stated. “Our thoughts, prayers and deepest condolences are with the family, friends, classmates, teachers and all who knew and loved them during this incredibly difficult time.”


The sudden deaths of Aden King and Price King have deeply impacted students, faculty, and the broader Princeton community. School officials announced that counselors and members of the district’s crisis response team would be available on campus to provide emotional support to students and staff coping with the tragedy.


Several emergency agencies responded to the fatal crash scene, including the Mercer County Sheriff's Office, Princeton Police Department, Princeton City Fire Department, East River Volunteer Fire Department, and the Princeton Rescue Squad.
